Flying to 1st
A group of sophomore students started our organization in 2009 with the intent of winning the SAE Aero Design competition. After a few rough years, our team became a notable competitor among the international field. Since our first win in 2014, TAMU Aero Design has grown to nearly 60 members and we have graduated over 100 total engineers. Our team competes in the competition’s Regular Class and Micro Class, in which the primary goal is to demonstrate a flyable aircraft and sell the design in both oral and written design reports.
